Minneapolis, MN – Paul Durand, General Manager of the Ramada Plaza Minneapolis, and part of its ownership group today announced that The Ramada Plaza Minneapolis signed a strategic partnership and sponsorship agreement with the Minnesota Twins MLB Franchise. The agreement is for the 2010 season, the Twins’ inaugural season in their brand new open-air stadium, Target Field.
Located less than three miles from the new stadium, The Ramada Plaza Minneapolis, is the closest business class hotel located in proximity. The deal offers cross promotional Twins events to take place at The Northern Point, the Restaurant and Bar located in the hotel’s lobby. The first event will welcome former World Series Pitcher, Jack Morris will be signing autographs and broadcasting live from The Northern Point Restaurant on May 9th, 2010 during the Twins home game versus the Baltimore Orioles.
Durand said of the partnership; “The Minnesota Twins provide exceptional family entertainment, and we are proud to have our brand associated with this great team as they kick off the new season in their new stadium.” He continued; “We will host several events throughout the Twins’ season and will post updates on our website. We want to be the headquarters for fans both locally and those travelling to see the games. We’re glad to have the Twins as neighbors.”
The Ramada Plaza Minneapolis will offer several game day Hotel Stay packages. The packages, starting at $99.00 for a deluxe room will also include free shuttle service to and from the new stadium.
