as their Public Relations Agency of Record
Minneapolis, MN – Rick Mahn, founder of the Minneapolis chapter of the Social Media Breakfast (SMBMSP) group today announced that Sterling Cross Communications is their PR agency of record. One of the nation’s largest and most active chapters in the country, Mahn sees Sterling Cross’s traditional media connections and social media knowledge as key factors in helping him and co-organizer Mykl Roventine achieve their chapter’s goals in the coming year.
“Chris Lower of Sterling Cross has been attending the SMBMSP meetings since our third meeting when we were just a dozen folks meeting at a restaurant. As we enter into our second year of breakfast events, we need to strategically partner with others in the community that have connections and expertise in areas like media relations so that our reach is broadened beyond our close knit community. We are excited for the alliance and look forward to using new avenues to market and enhance our group’s offerings “
Mahn continued, “The two main goals that we’ve set for our chapter in the coming year are 1) to provide a wide spectrum of Social Media (SM) education and 2) to be a unifying agent for the large local Social Media community. Last year Sterling Cross provided connections and coordination that allowed us to host our largest meeting to date and connected us with select media that generated awareness and a few stories. They will draw upon these relationships to help us communicate our mission and offerings to an audience that may or may not be plugged into SM platforms such as Twitter or Ning sites.”
