What: Professional-development seminar with networking component for marketing professionals, public relations staffers, writers and others who work and interact with Social Media marketing.

Why: SMBMSP is where folks get together to talk about using social media and social networking tools in their business or careers. It's about networking, it's about learning, and mostly it's about people.
The State Fair offers the first opportunity since the SMBMSP fist began in early 2008 to invite both social media practitioners and their families out to learn, network and have fun at the fair.

For the past 17 months, monthly meetings for local professionals are held in various locations around the Twin Cities. Averaging 120 people per meeting over the past year, the Twin Cities supports a large and vibrant creative community that is very technically aware and not afraid to look for new ideas or ask important questions. With over two dozen worldwide chapters in existence, the MSP chapter is the largest chapter and has hosted the largest event with 250+ in attendance at an outdoor event in June.
